Dermal Fillers
Did you know that many visible signs of aging can be traced back to volume loss? As facial tissues thin out, lines become etched around the nose and mouth and cheeks look less full.
HOW DERMAL FILLERS WORK?
At Sunday Aesthetics, we carry hyaluronic acid fillers, a gel-like substance that is injected into target areas of the face. The fillers plump the skin and work in place of lost fat and proteins to smooth lines and wrinkles and volumize hollow areas.
WHAT CAN DERMAL FILLERS CORRECT?
Fillers are used on static lines which, unlike dynamic lines, remain visible even when the muscles are relaxed. They help to reduce the signs of aging, minimize skin depressions and scars, and address fine lines and deep wrinkles or folds in the skin. Fillers can also be used to address a host of issues unrelated to aging, such as lip augmentation, cheek augmentation and defining the jawline.
HOW LONG DO DERMAL FILLERS LAST?
After getting dermal filler injections, you will be able to see instant results, however, it will take about 48-72 hours to see the final result. The effects of dermal fillers fade gradually over time. For the vast majority of patients, results should last between 6 and 12 months.
WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID?
Hyaluronic acid is a type of sugar molecule that is found naturally within the body, with the highest concentrations in the joints, eyes, and skin.
In the skin hyaluronic acid attracts water, which allows the skin to become more hydrated and it is a major component of the natural skin barrier. Hyaluronic acid fillers help to restore lost volume, smooth wrinkles and fine lines, and add hydration, volume and plumpness, due to its ability to pull in and retain water. However, the natural aging process and exposure to things like ultraviolet radiation from the sun, tobacco smoke, and pollution can decrease its amounts in the skin.
Its unique physical properties, such as its large water-binding capacity, along with its established track record of effectiveness and safety make it a popular choice as a dermal filler.
